I was just about to post this. It WILL get interesting, the rivalry could get sparked as well. I think that the Phillies and Braves are also trying to drive the price tag up for Lowe and the Mets.

The last thing the Mets need is letting Lowe go to a division rival...

Yep, the Mets really need Lowe, they'd be almost a complete team (maybe another starter), and easily the favorites to win the division, which they already are.

I wish they were, but not quite yet. If they can get Lowe, and possibly Randy Wolf, they'd have one of the better rotations in baseball.

Apparently the Braves aren't willing to offer more than what the Mets did, so they might be out of the sweepstakes, unless they change their mind.

Probably, it said that on MLB.com, so yeah. The Braves are very cheap, they would've gone to the limit for Burnett, but for Lowe they won't offer him money.

I'd invest big money in Lowe before I would Burnett.
